Thom Yorke, a solo album is coming
According to guitarist Ed O’Brien, Radiohead intend to repeat what they did last fall: “every year, go to a different continent, and we’ll do 20 shows a year. No more, no less.” In the meantime, however, the band members are working on solo projects. And there’s a Thom Yorke one coming up. This was revealed again by the guitarist, who is talking about his new solo album “Blue morpho” to the US media, anticipating its release scheduled for May 22nd.
According to what he explained while speaking on the Consequence podcast, Yorke’s album “will be released later in the year”. Yorke’s latest release is the collaboration with electronic musician Mark Pritchard on the album “Tall Tales”. Yorke has not released solo albums since 2109 (“Anima” was the third), but he has released three works with Smile together with Jonny Greenwood and Tom Skinner.
“Blue morpho”, Ed O’Brien’s new album, arrives six years after his debut solo album “Earth”. It is produced by Paul Epworthalready alongside Paul McCartney and Adele. Jonny Greenwood, for his part, has announced his new project with composer Shye Ben Tzur and Rajasthan Express, entitled “Ranjha”, also scheduled for May.
