This summer soulfly arrive in Italy

The previous apparition in our band of the band dates back to last year, when in August they performed at the Rocket Planet in Cervia.

Max Cavalera (Brazilian guitarist of Italian origins) left the Sepulture In 1997 (which he founded in 1984 together with his brother Igor) due to internal conflicts and gives life to the soulfly, whose name derives from a verse of the song “Headup” of the Defones, in which he collaborated.

The homonymous debut of the band came out in 1998, receiving a good success. In 2000 they published “primitive”, which included NU metal influences and a collaboration with Chine Blackberry of the Defones. Cavalera continued to experiment with different formations and musicians for each album, trying to hybridize musical styles.

In 2004 they published “Prophecy”, which incorporated elements of world music and traditional instruments. After “Dark Ages” in 2005, which marked a return to more thrash sounds, the band continued to perform and record. In the following years, Soulfly released various albums, including “Omen” in 2010, “Enslaved” in 2012, and “Savages” in 2013, with various training changes. The album “Archangel” was released in 2015, followed by “Ritual” in 2018 and “Totem” in 2022 (so far last album of the band), with the entry of new members into the group.
