The songs that Vasco will surely sing on this year’s tour

A journey back in time of at least four decades, to return to the ’80s, those in which what was until then a provincial phenomenon became a pop star: this will be the lineup of “Vasco Live 2026”, the tour that will see Vasco Rossi involved during the summer now upon us. The rocker Zocca himself anticipated it in an interview given to Tv Sorrisi e Canzoni: «It will be a good blow. And then we will do some songs from the ’80s, like “Alibi” and “Soap Bubbles””, Vasco said. Here they are, therefore, the first two songs of the official setlist, after the previews of these weeks: the first is “Alibi“, taken from “Colpa d’Alfredo” from 1980, while the other is “Soap bubbles“, taken from “Cosa trova in città” from 1985, of which Rossi published a new version in the reissue of the album for the fortieth anniversary.

But the surprises don’t end there. In the lineup, as confirmed by Vasco to the weekly, there will also be a gem: “(For what I have to do) I’m in the military“, a song taken from the 1979 album “We are not the Americans” from “Albachiara”. By the way: “Albachiara” will be regularly in the setlist, in the encores. «The concert is divided into two parts and then there are the encores. Let’s say that the encores are the third part», underlined the Komandante, revealing that the last song before the encores will be “A better world“.

Some statistical data, taken from Setlist.fm, the most complete and reliable database for concert setlists. “Alibi” returned to the setlist in 2017, on the occasion of the concert-event for the forty years of Modena Park’s career: before then Vasco had not played it for six years (the last time was in 2011) and after that show the song returned “to the bench”. “For what I have to do (I’m in the military)” has been missing from Vasco’s concerts for sixteen years: the last time the rocker sang it was in 2010, during a concert at the Nelson Mandela Forum in Florence. Before then he had played it once in 1997 (at the Fillmore Live Club in Cortemaggiore) and a handful of times between 1995 and 1996. It is one of the songs least played live by Vasco.

The tour will start on May 30th from the Romeo Neri Stadium in Rimini. On 5 and 6 June Vasco will perform at the Giorgio Bassani Urban Park in Ferrara, on 12 and 13 June at the Arena in Olbia, on 18 and 19 June at the San Nicola Stadium in Bari. While waiting for the party for 500 thousand fans that Vasco has already said he wants to organize in 2027 for the fiftieth anniversary of his career.
