The Smile Cancel Tour: Jonny Greenwood In Intensive Care

Through a post shared on the official social profiles dedicated to the project The Smile, the band born from the union of Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead with jazz drummer Tom Skinner, the cancellation of the next dates of the group’s tour was announced. The reason, we read in the communication, is a serious health problem that has affected Greenwood.

The message published on the pages dedicated to The Smile reads:

“A few days ago Jonny became seriously ill with an infection that required emergency medical care, some of which in intensive care. Thankfully he is now out of danger and will be returning home soon.”

The post continues: “We have been advised by the medical team treating Jonny to cancel all engagements until he has fully recovered. As a result, The Smile’s European tour in August is cancelled. Refunds for the headline shows will be made available through the respective retailers. We wish Jonny a speedy recovery.”
