The Rolling Stones' Ron Wood has found a new way to get high
Last April 28, from NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, i Rolling Stones they started the American tour in support of their latest album “Hackney Diamonds” (read the review here) released in October 2023. On the occasion of the band's new tour, guitarist Ron Wood recently said that after years of addiction problems from alcohol and drugs, he found a new way to get high.
Talking to The Sun newspaper about his return to tour with the Stones, explaining that he had “worked hard in Los Angeles rehearsing for five weeks” to get back into shape to play stadiums, Wood spoke about his backstage habits before one show.
“Nowadays, before a concert I like to drink my green juices, and I train together with a trainer – but only light and stretching workouts, to keep the circulation active, which is what you need as you progress. 'age”, underlined the companion of Mick Jagger and Keith Richards: “There is always some party during the tours, but I like to have quiet moments. I am addicted to the television series 'Ripley' now.”
Speaking about the sensations of going on stage, the 76-year-old guitarist added:
“The adrenaline rush is stronger than any drug or alcohol. A natural high is the best you can get. It beats drugs or alcohol.”
