Tonight at 9pm the closing ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympics will take place – which will mark the passing of the baton to Los Angeles, where the next edition will be held in 2028.
The stage should therefore feature artists and personalities representing both cities and cultures: as for the inauguration, most of the guests and performances have not been revealed in advance, but according to Variety the performances (with some parts pre-recorded on video) should see the presence of Billie Eilish, Snoop Dogg (one of the off-screen protagonists of this edition) and of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Furthermore, HER should sing the national anthem of the United States.

Representing France, according to rumours BBCthere should be the Airthe electronic music duo composed of Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoît Dunckel, and Phoenixthe musical group led by Thomas Mars.

According to an official statement from the organizing committee, the closing ceremony will feature more than 100 “artists, acrobats, dancers and circus performers,” with the production overseen by artistic designer Thomas Jolly, who also served as artistic director for the opening ceremony.
