The future of Kiss: three big projects in the pipeline
AND manager Doc McGhee to reveal some details about the future of Kiss. During the “Future of Kiss” panel at Kiss Kruise: Land-Locked in Las Vegas, McGhee was pressed by Johan Lagerlöf of Pophouse (the company that purchased the group’s catalog and image rights for an estimated $300 million in 2024) about new projects related to the Kiss brand.

The first to intervene was Thierry Coup, creative director of the next “avatar show” of the band, who once again reminded fans that the preview shown during the last concert was only a work in progress. Coup said that he and his team are currently “in the midst of developing the actual avatars, which will take about two years.” He showed updated concept art, challenging fans to distinguish a photograph fromavatar of Paul Stanleyand then showed off some new sets. Participants were asked not to share photos of these images.

Also director McG and producer Mark Canton, who are working on the biopic about the band, were there to talk about their project. “Kiss is the most exciting band in the history of rock and roll,” McG said. “More than any other band in history, there was rock and roll before Kiss and then there was rock and roll after Kiss.” The director stated that they were still in the casting process, looking for actors capable of recreating the intensity of the band’s performances on stage. The documentary
A documentary about five-year world tour of the band, “End of the Road”, seems to be the first of the major projects ready to see the light. After presenting a trailer to the panel, McGhee said the goal was to embrace an analytical approach that showed the true personalities of musicians. After five years of filming, they have spent the last two years editing “thousands of hours” of footage. “You’ll see a completely different side of Kiss,” he promised, describing the documentary, biopic and avatar show as a three-part plan to help the band continue to thrive. reach new generations of fans.
