“The Drums” comes out, Mike Joyce’s autobiography of the Smiths

The drummer of the Smiths, Mike Joyceannounced the release of his autobiography, entitled “The Drums”, for November 6th. The volume, as reported in the presentation, offers a first -line vision of the band’s history, from the point of view of “the one that self -denials the greatest Smiths fan in the world. His perspective outside the box, sincere and witty, allows him to return the favorite moments of fans through a wonderfully vulnerable and human vision of his life”.

Previously the other members of the band entrust their memories to the printed paper were, in 2013, Morrisseythe frontman of the British band, who published the first autobiography of Smiths, “Autobiography”followed in 2016 by the guitarist Johnny Marr with “Set the boy free”. The bassist of the group, Andy Rourke, died of pancreas cancer in 2023.
