The Cure Send Postcard to Fans, New Album Out November 1st
THE Care they wanted to be close to the fans by sending them postcards bearing the words ‘Songs Of A Lost World’ in relief and the numbers 1/11/24 which practically confirm the title and release date of the new album.
This follows what happened earlier this week when the band
Robert Smith
had changed the profile picture of his social channels by posting a new logo with a completely black background.
At the same time the guitarist Reeves Gabrels shared on his official Facebook and X/Twitter profile a link which, accompanied by the hashtag #songsofalostworld, refers to the updated website of the Care where you can subscribe to the mailing list. While Eden, son of the bassist Simon Gallup (who filled in for his father on a number of dates in 2019), posted the lyrics to his new song “Alone” on social media: “This is the end of every song that we sing…”
This news comes ahead of the release of the band’s two new live songs which will be a double A-side for the climate charity ‘Earth Percent’. Released on Naked Record Club, a record label that releases limited edition records on sustainable vinyl,
“The Cure – November: Live in France 2022”
It is a 12″ double A-side Eco-Vinyl single with two live tracks recorded during the French leg of the tour.

Nothing Is Forever”
was recorded live in Montpellier at the Sud de France Arena on November 8, 2022, while
“I Can
Never Say Goodbye”
was recorded at the Zénith Toulouse on 13 November 2022.
In 2022, the
Care
they also performed two other new songs
“Alone”
And
“Endsong”
It is speculated that all these unreleased songs will be featured on the band’s new album,
“Songs Of A Lost World”
which would mark their long-distance recording return in 16 years, from
“4:13 Dream”
