The Cure confirm they have recorded 13 songs

THE Care they have confirmed the rumors who said the release of a new album was imminent. As Consequence reports, a note has appeared on their site reporting that the band has recorded “13 more songs” for a new album. After the lines regarding the publication of their latest album, “Songs from a Lost World” (read the review here) in November 2024, it goes on to state that “in March 2025 the band returned to Rockfield Studios to record 13 more songs for a follow-up album”.

It is unclear whether this new album is the same project anticipated by Robert Smith in an interview with Radio X, where he described an album parallel to “Songs of a Lost World” with sadder and more melancholic material, some songs written already in 2016.

Should it be released before next June, the album could be presented live in Europe on the dates already announced which, at the moment, unfortunately, do not include stops in our country.
