The contest continues to obtain the reprint of “Born in the USA”
The contest continues through which Rockol readers and Bruce Springsteen fans can have the chance to obtain a copy of the reissue of “Born in the USA”, one of the Boss' most iconic albums. To celebrate the album's fortieth anniversary, Sony Music has decided to release this Friday, June 14, a reissue of the album on colored vinyl with expanded packaging (pre-orders are already active, at this link). Until Friday, Rockol will publish one news item a day – here is yesterday's – with a question linked to “Born in the USA” and the legendary show of the rocker from New Jersey at San Siro on 21 June 1985, which has become legendary.
Readers will have to answer the five questions at [email protected].
Here is the second question:
How many songs did Bruce Springsteen and his E Street Band play on June 21, 1985 at San Siro?
This edition of “Born in the USA” created for the occasion includes the LP in a translucent red version and includes a gatefold cover and an exclusive booklet enriched with archive material from the time, new liner notes written by Erik Flannigan and a four-color lithograph print.”
The new special edition of “Born in the USA” arrives after the release of the collection “Best of Bruce Springsteen”, 18 tracks on double LP vinyl and CD and 31 tracks in digital format. Springsteen was expected in Italy for two dates on June 1st and 3rd, but new health problems – after the peptic ulcer that forced him to take a long break – forced the Boss to postpone the dates: Springsteen will return to our country in 2025, recovering the two Milanese shows on 30 June and 3 July 2025.
