The albums of my life by EZEZEZ

Next November 27, the Biscayan quartet EZEZEZ will publish “Burubero” (EZEZEZ/Lume!, 26), a new full-length in which they will once again display all their creativity. And they will be presenting it live throughout the peninsula, France and even Canada.

Taking advantage of the release of the new preview of the album, “Eskeleto” and the announcement of the first presentation dates for the album, we asked the group about six albums that drive them crazy. The group wanted to sign this selection together in a democratic way.

(See their tour dates at the end of this article)

Bob Marley – “Natural Mystic: The Legend Lives On” (2002)
Because it always plays in the van when we go to gigs and after each concert we play “Natural Mystic” as an outro, because it’s Bob Marley, you know?

D’Angelo – ““Black Messiah” (2014)
D’Angelo is fucking GROOVE. And period. There is nothing more to add.

Tom Waits ““Rain Dogs” (1985)
“Rain Dogs” It is the perfect mix between folk, punk, rock, metal, poetry…
ArAAAAAAaaaayasjfFWXATRGHakclybnkVBTJCVRTCBJlk! It’s like getting stuffed: it feels kind of bad, but what a pleasure.

Itoiz – “Musikaz Blai” (1983)
One of the most important pop rock albums or whatever you want to call it made in Basque. The club that raised the level of music in Basque and continues to be a reference in the scene. IMPORTANT, ITOIZ VERY IMPORTANT. It still sounds modern and fresh. It’s a bath. It could be the “Espaloian” (85) too, but well you have to choose one, so we say the “Musikaz Blai”But be careful with the “Espaloian”, eh!

Waxahatchee – “Tigers Blood” (2024)
When you are crossing Teruel on your way to some undetermined gig you can put on “Right Back to It” and think about another life, one in which you have long hair and know how to ride and the cacti are your friends. In the end…

Soulwax – “FROM DEEWEE” (2017)
A fucking masterclass on how to make something danceable and with personality, mixing organic bases with electronics and a damn good taste. You have to listen to it once a year.
