“That great genius” by Lucio Battisti, third edition

From 26 to 29 September, Milan will host ten special events centered on the figure of Lucio Battisti, included in the program of the third edition of “That great genius”, the festival conceived by Francesco Paracchini.

On the opening day of the Festival, on Friday 26 September, from 15.00 to 18.00, it will be possible to travel the streets of Milan aboard the historic tram atmosphere: for the occasion there will be a moving acoustic live, with the notes of Battisti to accompany a journey through the streets of the center, with departure and arrival in front of the Sforzesco Castle.

The same evening, at 20.30, at the Teatro del Buratto (via Giovanni Bovio, 5), the show “Battisti and his friends” will be staged, which will feature Carlo Poddighe, guitarist and one man Bresciano, in a tribute to the artistic and human ties that have marked the career of the singer -songwriter.

Saturday 27 September, from 10.30 to 13.00, in the large room of space Washington (via Washington 83) a conference entitled “Il Mulino di Anzano del Park will be held: only a recording studio?” In which musicians and producers who have experienced the experience of working at the mill will participate.

Also on Saturday, from 18.00, appointment at Avi (Italian vinyl association – via Washington 48) to take stock of the editorial and record news released in the last year. There will be some of the authors of the new books dedicated to Battisti and some guests who have collaborated with Lucio.

Appointment on Sunday 28 September at the Teatro Menotti in Milan, with “Still together”, a musical show inspired by the 1971 television broadcast “All together”, during which Lucio Battisti presented the newborn “Scuderia number 1” (among others Dik Dik, Formula 3, Bruno Lauzi, Mia Martini, Pfm, Adriano Pappalardo, Mario Lavezzi …). The show will propose the songs of that evening with musicians of the CPM Music Institute and actors of STM (Music Theater School).

At the end of the event, on Monday 29 September at 20.00, at the Gerolamo Theater in Milan, “something that is worth” will be held, a concert dedicated to the album “And already”, a watershed work in the discography of Battisti, published in 1982 and written together with poison. The songs of the album will be Patrizia Cirulli, in Trio formation.
