Talking Heads: A Tribute Album Featuring Paramore, Miley Cyrus & More

Shortly after expressing a certain “level of uncertainty” about their future as a band, last December i Paramore they had worried fans by cleaning up their social profiles and deleting their website (which still opens an error message), thus making them believe they were destined to disband. With the start of the new year, however, the US group is back on social media to announce his involvement in a project in honor of Talking Heads and today, January 31st, he made his official reappearance sharing the cover of “Burning down the house” by David Byrne and co.

Hayley Williams and partners have reinterpreted the song, originally released as the first single from the New York band’s 1983 album “Speaking in Tongues”, for the tribute album “Everyone’s getting involved: a tribute to Talking Heads’ Stop making sense” announced by the A24 Music label.

The disc will include sixteen cover of Talking Heads songs reread by as many artists to pay homage “Stop making sense“, The concert film of David Byrne’s band from 1984, directed by Jonathan Demme and last year celebrated with a re-release for its fortieth anniversary. In addition to Paramore, the project included Miley Cyrus, Lorde, the National, BadBadNotGood, Blondshell, the Cavemen., Chicano Batman with Money Mark, DJ Tunez, El Mató a un Policía Motorizado, girl in red, Jean Dawson, Kevin Abstract, the Linda Lindas, Teezo Touchdown and Toro y Moi. At the moment, The release date is not yet known of the album.
