Stevie Nicks Barbie Returns. Already Sold Out

Last October, Mattel and Stevie Nicks They unveiled a Barbie doll in the likeness of the Fleetwood Mac musician and later solo artist, complete with a guitar, a black dress and platform boots inspired by the “Rumours” cover, and a replica of Nicks’ signature gold moon necklace along with a tambourine with red and black ribbons.

The initial print run sold out instantly, priced at $55, and fans have been clamoring for a re-release.

On Monday (July 8), Nicks and Mattel announced a limited re-release, once again priced at $55. The item went on sale immediately and is now sold out. It is unclear at this time if the prized possession will be re-released in the future.

After unveiling the doll last year, Nicks revealed to fans during her Madison Square Garden concert on Oct. 1 that she and Mattel had been working on it for a year and that the doll traveled with her to concerts for three months.

“When I look at her, I see myself from 27 years ago,” the singer said, adding that she also sees everything she’s been through since 1975. “I am her and she is me.” Nicks showed off the doll to fans and gave it to someone in the audience named Sara, which prompted her to sing a few lines from the Fleetwood Mac song of the same name.

Stevie Nicks has had to postpone her Manchester concert on July 9 due to a leg injury. The former Fleetwood Mac singer confirmed that her concert at London’s BST Hyde Park on July 12 is still on, but said she will have to postpone subsequent shows because she has to undergo “minor surgery.”

In a statement released to social media, Nicks’ team advised all ticket holders for Glasgow and Manchester to “hold on to your tickets” as the rescheduled dates would be announced shortly.
