Steve Howe republished two albums for the first time in vinyl

The guitarist of Yes Steve Howe He will republish on September 12, two of his solo albums, “Portraits of Bob Dylan” (Read the review here) of 1999 e “Natural Timbre” of 2001, on the CD and, for the first time, also in vinyl, with its Howeound record label.

In “Portraits of Bob Dylan” Howe paid tribute to one of his main inspirations, with a host of guests who have performed a selection of songs by Dylan, among these, Jon Anderson, Max Bacon (Gtr), Allan Clarke (Hollies), Pp Arnold, Annie Haslam (Renaissance), Keith West (Tomorrow) And Phoebe Snowtogether with the son Dylan Howe On drums.

Comment Steve Howe: “What I liked was the opportunity to arrange them, because I was not going to copy what Dylan had done; I wanted to add something more. The idea of the portraits has always been a kind of unrealizable dream, and initially I recorded a song to start the project, and I thought: ‘This will be beautiful, I will do a lot of bobb.”

In “Natural Timbre” Howe, again backed by his son Dylan, explores acoustic music using a whole series of instruments: acoustic guitar, banjo, mandolin, dobro, lap steel, mandoloncello and koto. “The idea behind” Natural Timbre “was to demonstrate that the beauty of the acoustic tools is universal. I put myself at work, putting aside the electric guitar, with the desire to undertake another type of exploration, because as with the piano, you cannot move away from the shade of acoustic sound. It is one of those beautiful, harmonizing and relaxing things.”
