Steve Hackett confirms he is well after being hospitalized

Through a series of posts shared on his official Instagram profile, Steve Hackett has reassured fans that he was fine after being rushed to hospital before his live performance originally scheduled in Phoenix this past Saturday, April 13.

The former Genesis was due to play at the Celebrity Theater for a date of his “Genesis Revisited – Foxtrot at Fifty + Hackett Highlights” tourwhich has long seen the musician bring the historic English band's fourth studio album live for the fiftieth anniversary of its release.

Initially, Hackett offered an update on his health by posting a message on social media together with a selfie of him from the hospital. “Hi everyone, I'm so sorry for the scare,” wrote the artist:

“I had a bronchial infection and a last minute adverse reaction to medications. As a result, the doctors took me to the hospital. Now I'm recovering and I'm happy to feel good. I was very sad to miss the show and will be back to play in Phoenix as soon as possible. My thanks to all of you for your understanding and support.”

Last February 16th the musician published the concept album “The circus and the nightwhale“, which arrives two years after the acoustic project “Under a Mediterranean sky” in January 2021 and “Surrender of silence” in September of the same year. The album, recorded between the 2022 and 2023 tours at the Siren studio in the UK, also marks the first full-blown concept album by Hackett since his 1975 solo debut“Voyage of the Acolyte”.

Steve Hackett, who the next autumn he will be in concert in Italy for five dates (31 October in Rome – Auditorium Parco della Musica, 1 November in Bologna – Teatro EuropAuditorium, 2 November in Padua – Gran Teatro Geox, 4 November in Milan – Teatro Dal Verme and 5 November in Turin – Teatro Colosseo), had revealed that he was working on a new recording project as early as 2022 when, in an interview for Rockol released on the occasion of an Italian date of the “Genesis Revisited – Foxtrot at Fifty + Hackett Highlights” tour, he made it known: ““I'm already working on new music I've already recorded three songs and it's very exciting for me.

I'm progressing in another direction again. She seems to be the right one for me now. .So I discover myself more and more“.
