Steve Hackett: another preview from the new live album

Steve Hackett shared another sneak peek from his upcoming live album, “Live magic at Trading Boundaries”. The disk, out next January 17thcompiles various recordings made over the years of shows the former Genesis gave at Trading Boundaries, Sussex, where his annual performances have become something of a tradition for the legendary guitarist. The album also includes guest appearances from regular collaborators of the 74-year-old musician such as his brother John Hackett on the flute, Roger King on keyboards, Rob Townsend on flute and sax and Amanda Lehmann on guitar and vocals.

After the first single, the live recording of “Ace of wands”, the album is now preceded by the live version of “Jacuzzi“, song originally released on Steve Hackett’s 1980 fourth album, “Defector“.

“Live magic at Trading Boundaries” will feature live recordings of a selection of songs by Genesis together with those taken from the English guitarist’s solo repertoire, as well as two songs taken from his most recent solo album Amanda Lehmann, “Innocence and illusion”. The album’s release also coincides with Steve Hackett’s next two live appearances at the venue, on January 18 and 19, 2025.
