Sonata Arctica bring their Finnish power metal to Italy

Next week Sonata Arctica will bring their power metal back to our country for two dates. The Finnish band will perform at Alcatraz in Milan on 7 October and at the Hall in Padua on 8 October.

At the opening of the evening, Firewind and Serious Black will take the stage. Tickets are available on MC2Live.it and Vivaticket.com, as well as at the box office on the evening of the shows.

After debuting under the name Tricky Beans between 1995 and 1996, and after moving away from their original genre towards symphonic metal, Sonata Arctica released their first album entitled “Ecliptica” in 1999. Originally from Kemi , in Finland, the band was then the protagonist of a very successful tour together with the Italians Rhapsody (who at the time had not yet added the suffix -of Fire to their name) and their compatriots Stratovarius. With eleven studio albums under their belt, the last of which was released with the title “Clear Cold Beyond” last March, and after a series of lineup changes, the group has consolidated itself as one of the strongest groups in power metal and currently consists of Tony Kakko (vocals), Tommy Portimo (drums), Henrik Klingenberg (keyboard), Elias Viljanen (guitar) and Pasi Kauppinen (bass).
