Slash Performs Jimi Hendrix and Bob Dylan Songs Live

On July 5, Slash kicked off his “SERPENT Festival 2024” tour in support of his latest solo project, the blues covers album “Orgy of the Damned.” The series of dates kicked off in Bonner-West Riverside, Montana, and on the first date, the Guns N’ Roses guitarist covered several songs from his latest album, such as Howlin’ Wolf’s “Killing Floor,” Fleetwood Mac’s “Oh Well,” The Temptations’ “Papa Was a Rollin’ Stone,” Elmore James’ “Shake Your Money Maker,” and “Metal Chestnut.”

Additionally, after opening the show with Bukka White’s “Parchman Farm Blues,” Slash also performed Jimi Hendrix’s “Stone Free” live and performed Bob Dylan’s “It Takes a Lot to Laugh, It Takes a Train to Cry” for the first time.
