Slash: “I'm working with Guns N'Roses on a new album”

In an interview given to the British newspaper Daily Star, the guitarist of Guns N' Roses Slash declared that the Californian band is trying to make a new album.

The group led by Axl Rose he hasn't released a record since “Chinese Democracy” (read the review here) which was released in 2008. Album in which he did not participate slash. Since i Guns N' Roses in 2016 three fifths of them returned to the original lineup – Axl, Slash and Duff McKagan – they released some new songs, “Absurd”, “Hard Skool”, “Precious” and “The General”but no album yet.

to the Daily Star when asked why Axl hadn't collaborated on his new solo album
“Orgy of the damned”
: “Guns N' Roses are trying to make their own album. I'm working with them in that capacity, but this one (his solo album, ed.) didn't involve anyone else. It's my thing, so I didn't drag inside my boys.”

A few days ago

. The album's first single was a cover of
“Killing Floor”

which was attended by the singer of

to the harmonica. The album sees many collaborations including those of
Iggy Pop, Chris Stapleton, Demi Lovato,
Dorothy, Paul Rodgers, Chris Robinson, Tash Neal, Beth Hart, Gary Clark Jr. and Billy Gibbons
