Serena Brancale: “I feel like I have embraced a sea of people”
Serena Brancale is in Sanremo with “Here with me”a profoundly different song from “Anema e core”with whom he participated last year in the event on the Riviera. If on paper it tells the story of a farewell, that to the mother who is no longer there, in reality the song makes an opposite gesture: it recalls a presence, keeps a memory alive, transforms the absence into something that continues to inhabit. As he explains in the interview given to Rockol, in the spaces of Superlunathis is precisely the reason why so many people wrote to her, showed her affection and recognized themselves in the song. A shared emotion which, she says, led her to “hug so many people”, on and off the stage. Serena Brancale’s is a Sanremo far from the charts, the rankings, the anxiety of the podium. It is a Sanremo experienced first of all for itself, as an intimate and necessary act, and then shared. A path that also takes on an even more familiar and symbolic value thanks to the presence of the teacher Nicole Brancalewho accompanies her conducting the orchestra. Below is the interview with the artist:
