Scorpions, a film about the history of the band: here is the cast

The story of the Scorpions, the German band that made the history of Heavy Metal, will become a biopic film: not a documentary, but a film that will see some actors play the members of the group led by Klaus Meine and which will retrace the stages of the climb to the success of the training. The film will be titled “Wind of Change”, just like one of the largest hits of the Scorpions repertoire, written by Meine after the epochal performance of the group in front of 300 thousand people at the Moscow Music Peace Festival in 1989, when the Cold War was now running out.

The film is directed by Alex Ranarto and produced by Esx Entertainment for Fox Entertainment Studios in collaboration with Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. Filming is currently underway in London and the debut in US cinemas is scheduled for 2025. To play the singer Klaus Meine will be Ludwig Trepte (“Generation War”). Alexander Dreymon (“The Last Kingdom”) will play the guitarist Rudolf Schenker, and Speleers (“You”, “Outlander”) will play the guitarist Matthias Jabs and Luke Brandon Field (“Jojo Rabbit”) will be the drummer Herman Rarebell. In addition, Dominic West (“The Crown”, “The Wire”) will play the manager of the band, Doc McGhee, and David Kross (“The Reader”) will be Andrej, the friend of the band imprisoned on the other side of the Berlin Wall.
