Sanremo 2026, the lineup for the second evening

The second evening of the 2026 Sanremo Festival tonight, Wednesday 25 February (here is the complete evening-by-evening program), will feature 15 competing singers, with the second half tomorrow.

The evening will open with the double challenge of new proposals. Four artists, accompanied on stage by Gianluca Gazzoli, compete in two direct challenges. For the youth section, the voting system is more complex: televoting, the Press Room, TV and Web Jury and the Radio Jury. The two most voted artists, one for each comparison, enter the third evening.

Performance is evaluated through a mixed system which assigns 50% of the weight to the Radio Jury and the remaining 50% to the public via televoting. This second event of the event ends, as far as the big names are concerned, with the definition of a provisional ranking relating to the 15 songs performed. The top five positions are announced, but without indication of the placing order.

Comments the artistic director, Carlo Contiat the press conference:

Last year, with the audience record, I had this smile. This year I didn’t beat myself, but I have the same smile, the same serenity. And this, I think, as far as I’m concerned, is the most important thing. The festival is doing well, as demonstrated by this great affection, these huge numbers. It is, they tell me, the fourth best result from 1997 to today. In short, I like it. Ama and I are in the first four places, so we are particularly proud of our work that we have done in these 12 years, together, obviously, with Claudio Baglioni.

I am happy with the successes of women in sport and I hope that the presence of women will be more and more on the Ariston stage too. I’m sorry that this year there is a smaller presence but there are five Rag Dolls and the number is increasing!

THE co-hosts who will join Carlo Conti are Achille Lauro, Pilar Fogliati and Lillo. Special guests the Olympic champions of Milano Cortina 2026, Francesca Lollobrigida and Lisa Vittozzi.
