Sanremo 2024: the reactions of Angelina, Geolier and Annalisa

The day after. The winner Angelina Mango, the second place winner Geolier and Annalisa, who arrived on the third step of the podium, showed up in the press room of the Ariston theatre, in front of the journalists, to comment on the final ranking and the emotions they experienced. Word to the queen of this 2024 edition: “I didn’t expect anything – she says excitedly Angelina – I was also surprised when I was chosen among the competing artists. Let alone for the victory today. This was the best week of my life. The tribute to my father on the cover night? I did it in a respectful way. It was a memory. Seeing the people at the Ariston with the signs and with the desire to convey love was exciting and a source of pride for me and my family. That love is everything and it is unexpected. My victory? The rankings don’t matter to me, I’ve never thought about the rankings this week, I feel so much warmth and it’s something indescribable.”

Obviously, there was no shortage of reflections on the weight of the three juries: the televoting one, the radio one and the press room one. The first crowned Geolier, the second and third the Mango. “There is no bitterness – he says immediately Geolier – I had a great Festival, I learned many things, Angelina and I are two very young kids and we are up there, this aspect is wonderful. I started with the desire to bring the Neapolitan to Ariston, I have already won for my objectives. Rap in Sanremo? Last year Lazza did very well with ‘Cenere’, the rap did very well. On the cover night, rap won. I brought my world and Naples here to Sanremo, for me this is the greatest satisfaction.”

Also Annalisa he reflects on his journey and responds to some senseless criticisms: “Would Meneguzzi have said that I sang with autotune? There is no need to answer. I would do it all again. I’m happy with my performances, the numbers I’m collecting, the tour that awaits me, the many concerts I’ll do. We all three have beautiful songs. What more can I say? I’m really satisfied with everything I’ve done.” The final scene between Geolier and Angelina was very beautiful with the latter saying: “I can’t wait to eat a pizza with my friends”. And the Neapolitan rapper with a smile: “I’ll prepare it for you.”
