Rockol Awards 2025: “emerging artist” award to Anna Castiglia

As part of the Rockol Awards 2025, the Rockol editorial team awards Anna Castiglia the Rockol Special Award for Best Emerging Artist 2025. The artist will collect the award and perform an exclusive live performance for Rockol during the final event of the event on the evening of January 29, 2026 at Santeria Tuscany 31in Milan. Other guests and artists performing live will be announced in the coming days.

Anna Castigliaborn in Catania in 1998, arrives at her first album “Mi plea” (here is our review) after a training and growth path that takes her to Milan, where she studies pop/rock singing at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory. Raised between stage and studio, before her debut album the artist released a series of independent singles and made her voice known live. Among other things, co-founder of the feminist collective Canta Fino a Dieci, Anna Castiglia carries out a personal and ironic writing, building step by step a recognizable and contemporary musical identity. Thanks to her debut album “MI PIACE”, on 8 July 2025 she won the Tenco Award for Best First Album, a great achievement that consecrated her among the most authoritative new voices in songwriting.

Freedom, curiosity, irony and a writing that refuses labels: Anna Castiglia is capable of moving naturally between pop, r&b, song theater and Brazilian suggestions, building a personal and multicolored universe, in which lightness and depth, intimacy and a view of the world coexist. After an apprenticeship made up of stages, increasingly central live shows and a strong attention to the performative dimension, the Sicilian singer-songwriter has chosen to never simplify her artistic identity, transforming versatility into a distinctive strength. Her first album, “Like”, is a real declaration of intent and this year she has shown that she does not seek uniformity, but that she claims the right to propose complex and multifaceted songs, just like her. For her ability to tell her story without filters, to surprise and to bring a contemporary voice to Italian music, Anna Castiglia represents one of the most interesting and necessary emerging realities on the current scene.

In the meantime, the popular voting for the Rockol Awards 2025 continues until January 18th to award the prizes for the Best Italian Album and the Best Italian Live for the public. The winners will be revealed during the ceremony on January 29th. In the most recent provisional ranking, Annalisa confirmed her lead in the Best Album category with “Ma io sono fuoco”. For his part, Vasco Rossi still holds first place in the Best Live category.
