Rockol Awards 2024: special “live” award to the French Saints

As part of the Rockol Awards 2024, the Rockol editorial team awards the SPECIAL Rockol Award for Best Italian Live Artist 2024 to the French Saints. The Piedmontese duo will collect the award and perform an exclusive performance for Rockol during the final event of the event on the evening of January 23, 2025 at Santeria Tuscany 31in Milan. They will also participate and play in the evening Daniele Silvestriwinner of the special “Rockol Award” for having distinguished himself particularly for his musical activity, and The lover to which the SPECIAL Rockol Award Best EMERGING Artist 2024.

Duo composed of Alessandro De Santis (born 1999, vocals and guitar) and Mario Francese (born 1997, keyboards, synthesizers and bass), the French Saints are born from the genres of the trio The Jab, among the competitors of the 17th edition of Amici di Maria De Filippi. The first single from Alessandro and Mario’s project was released in March 2022, with the title “Signorino”. After having participated and won ”, while on the covers evening they shared the stage with Skin for a reinterpretation of Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen. The duo spend much of 2024 on tour, culminating with a concert at Milan’s Fabrique in December. In the meantime they released several singles, and the EP “Could not have weight”.

That of the French Saints is a path that starts from afar, with what was once called “gavetta”: a path in which stage and live have always been central even before the talents they have won and the Festivals in which they have participated, important yes, but stages among the many kilometers covered both literally and artistically. Talent, originality and energy have allowed Alessandro and Mario to emerge in the Italian musical panorama, standing out not only for their uniqueness in composition and production, but above all for their ability to transform each performance into an engaging and enthralling experience. On stage, the Piedmontese duo conquers with a charismatic stage presence and constant energy, creating a deep bond with the audience. In the meantime, the popular voting for the Rockol Awards 2024 to assign the prizes for the Best Italian Album and the Best Italian Live for the public ended on January 8th. The winners will be revealed during the ceremony on January 23rd. The triplets of the candidates for the final victory will compete for the title of “Best Italian Album”, in strictly alphabetical order: Paolo Benvegnù, Piero Pelù and Tananai. While the name of the artist who will take the title of “Best Italian Live” will come from one of the following candidates: Alfa, Annalisa, Laura Pausini.
