Rockol, 30 years to remember and comment
In three decades, from the editorial staff – first physics, now virtual – of Rockol has passed, of people. Wholesale, I would say about about sixty, maybe someone more. Who with ability and goodwill, who only with the second, who only with the first (remained mythical in our hall of hunger for anecdotes the question of those who at the beginning of his collaboration asked me “But I also have to interview the singers who do not interest me?”), And also who without any of the two. But, in their own way, everyone made their contribution, what they could give.
I tried to track down the most Rockol ex: I was unable to contact them all, and it would have been impossible, but – as you can read in the box a little below – I invited several to participate in the thirty -year of Rockol with their contribution. I am pleased, and I thank them, that (almost) everyone has gladly accepted, as I like that some of those who have passed since our pages continued in his career with excellent results. Even those who today “do” Rockol, writing it or in roles other than that of the editorial staff, contributed to the party of our birthday – and they also find their words below.
As for “the whole world outside” by the editorial staff, it must be said that the colleagues of the other newspapers have not considered us much. I remember our first appearances in the press room of the Sanremo Festival, when many were amazed for the presence of a website – although newspaper recorded – in the places usually reserved for journalists of the “paper” newspapers (and I send a greeting and a hug to Tonino Manzi, who was the first to welcome us). Then they began to take us seriously, even recovering (without mentioning) our news – an Malvezzo that we have denounced and mocked with the invention of the fake new album by Lucio Battisti, “L’Asola” (1998), who gave us great visibility and caused many pisses. I think I can say that, in the long run, we managed to make us accept (maybe obtortto neck), sometimes even beloved, but I would still say to always make us respect. The testimonies of the colleagues that you will find collected below – and which I thank – are a small demonstration.
In short, so far, from 1995 to 2025, we got there. For me these years have been a school: I attended it at the same time as a pupil and teacher, and it was a long journey, interesting and also exciting (I say “at times” because sometimes, as in all professions, the weight of the routine made itself felt). I hope, as a veteran, that those who have been in Rockol for less time than I want to stay, at least for a while. Then the future is a hypothesis, as Enrico Ruggeri sang …
