The news of the soundtrack follows the announcement of the biopic “Better Man“, which will see the artist portrayed as a CGI monkey throughout the film.

Based on the true story of Robbie’s life and directed by Michael Gracey (“The Greatest Showman”), the film is uniquely told from the artist’s point of view, and manages to capture his well-known humor and indomitable spirit.

The biopic follows his journey from childhood to being the youngest member of one of the most famous boybands ever, the Take Thatuntil success as a solo artist.

When preparing the film, director Michael Gracey focused on having Robbie refer to himself as a monkey over and over again. “Robbie said things like, “I’m dancing like a monkey.” After a while, I thought, “Wouldn’t it be great to have Robbie as a monkey in the movie?” Because Robbie is telling this story, and that’s how he sees himself”.

Robbie Williams (50 years since Stoke-on-Trent) is one of the most awarded musical artists in the world with six of the 100 best-selling albums in British history and 85 million copies sold worldwide. In July he returned to London’s BST Hyde Park to headline a sold out show.

The life of the former Take That has already been told in a TV series. In November 2023, the four-part documentary series entitled “Robbie Williams” was released on Netflix.
