Robbie Williams: “The new album is raw, there are more guitars”

“Britpop” will be released on 10 October, the new album of unpublished by Robbie Williams. And from today, Friday 18 July, it is available “Spies”, The new single from the album: a piece Indie pop, characterized by the sound of the guitar and with a catchy refrain, sCritto by the artist and his longtime collaborators Karl Brazil and Owen Parker. The album cover is a clear reference to the title, and has a painting by one of Robbie’s most iconic looks: the red suit he wore at the Glastonbury Festival in 1995, at the height of the Britpop era.

Speaking of the project, the artist said: “I wanted to create the album that I wanted to write and release after leaving Take That in 1995. It was the peak of Britpop and a golden era for British music. I worked with some of my idols on this album
: it is raw, there are more guitars and it is an even more energetic and powerful album than usual
. There is a little ‘Brit’ and surely even a little ‘pop’. I am immensely proud of this project and I can’t wait for fans to listen to it. Furthermore, I can’t wait to perform one or two live songs during my next ‘Britpop’ tour, which will of course start from the United Kingdom. ”
