Robbie Williams overtakes the Beatles in the UK charts

Robbie Williams reached number one UK Albums Chart with “BRITPOP” (review here), becoming the artist with the most albums at the top of the British charts. It’s about the 16th solo album at Number Onea result that surpasses the Beatles’ record, stuck at 15. Surprisingly published on January 16th, “BRITPOP” was released after the postponement from the date initially scheduled for October 2025. The album, of which a deluxe was immediately released with the aim of reaching this goal, debuts directly in first place in the charts January 23.

With this result, almost all of Robbie Williams’ studio albums have reached the top of the British charts, with the only exception of “Reality Killed The Video Star” of 2009. Martin Talbot, CEO of Official Chartscommented on the milestone, underlining how Williams has built over time the most awarded catalog of albums in the history of the UK charts. In the ranking, “BRITPOP” preceded “The Art Of Loving” by Olivia Dean, Number One for the previous three weeks, and “Locket” by Madison Beer, which debuts at Number Three. He enters sixth place “The Demise Of Planet X” by Sleaford Mods.
