Rkomi: point and chief
A little jewel: “The last infidelity.”song that opens the tracklist of “Decreasing.”the new album of Rkomi coming out on May 23rdrepresents one of the multiple souls of the album. And it is a song that seems to mark a point and head, turn on a new light after a festival of Sanremo in black and white. Raw and true, in this piece Rkomi tells its story for the first time without hiding its darkest and most painful aspects. “When the words of my mother is not the words, I was nine years old and I was already learning to hate. He pushed her against the table, I spied on the room, I would take a candlestick just to split the skull”, Rappa in the song. And again:”I don’t know how to face the drug at fifteen. I don’t feel like a son, I don’t feel like a brother I don’t feel like a friend, a boyfriend, not even a rapper“.
The piece “The last infidelity.” It is accompanied by a black and white video clipwhose visual imagination emphasizes Rkomi’s text even more incisively. The images captured by the artist in his verses come to life on the screenframing complex feelings immediately. The video is also the means with which Rkomi wanted symbolically reveal the tracklist and featuring of the projectwhich are projected on his body in the last scene (some of which anticipated by fragments of the songs revealed in the last few days on his Instagram page).
If his music is constantly evolving in terms of form, still points are the travel companions who wanted with him inside his album. First of all, they are a group of friends – many of whom belonging to the famous “generation 2016” – who have grown together and still share a direction and many memories in common: Tedua, Izi, Hernia, Lazza, and Nayt. The new album “Decreschendo.”, Outgoing on May 23, was defined by Rkomi his most personal album ever and has been written over the past two years. “It will be a dip in his past, but also a journey to his future. A letter to itself and whoever wants to listen to it, written with all the possible care and dedication “, so we read in the presentation.
