Record Store Day 2025: the releases of 12 April
The list of releases of the Record Store Day, the World Day that celebrates the independent record stores, revealed this year on April 12 with a journey through genres and decades, between albums and individuals in limited edition, colored vinyls and exclusive boxsets.
Among the releases, “Burning Moonlight” by Marianne Faithfull is a new EP of four tracks of the British artist, who passed away a few days ago. Dave Stewart, guitarist of the Eurythmics, pays homage to Bob Dylan with “Dave Does Dylan”. “Angel In the Dark” by Laura Nyro is the latest album recorded by the singer -songwriter before her death. “Prince Charming” by Adam Ant and still “Keep Me in Mind Sweetheart” by Isobel Campbell & Mark Lanegan.

In recent years, the vinyl market has experienced constant growth. 2024 globally marks the seventeenth consecutive year of growth for this support, confirming the return of analog listening. In Italy, the FIMI data reveal that in the first half of 2024 vinyl sales increased by 16%.
A fundamental role in this rebirth played the record store Day, an event born in 2007 in the United States and now in Italy at its fourteenth edition, locally supported by over 240 independent records.
