Radiohead’s Thom Yorke has a serious throat infection
Bad news for fans of Radiohead – especially for Danish ones. The band is forced to postpone two concerts at the last minute due to a serious throat infection contracted by Thom Yorke.
According to what was announced by the band itself, tonight’s date (Monday 1 December) and the one scheduled for tomorrow (Tuesday 2 December) at the Royal Arena in Copenhagen have been postponed and will be held in the same venue, respectively Monday 15th and Tuesday 16th December.
The last two shows of the four scheduled dates in Copenhagen (4 and 5 December) are currently confirmed, as are all four concerts at Berlin’s Uber Arena, which will close the tour later this month.
“We are sorry to have to postpone these two shows on such short notice, but Thom has been diagnosed with a serious throat infection that has made it impossible for him to sing,” the band wrote in the announcement. “The treatment is underway and we hope that Thom recovers in time to play the final two concerts in Copenhagen on December 4 and 5 and all four concerts in Berlin, starting on December 8.”
“We were really impressed by the audience’s reactions on these dates and are delighted to be back on stage; needless to say, we feel terrible for having been forced to postpone these shows.”
