Primus is looking for a new drummer from all over the world

Through a post shared on social media, Primus have made it known that they are looking for a new drummer after the recent departure of Tim “Herb” Alexander. In the message, the band announced that they were open to receiving applications “from every corner of the world” and detailed some of the requirements and skills they look for in a musician who wants to join the band.

“We are currently accepting applications from all over the universe for the position of drummer/percussionist in Primus,” reads the message, which also includes an email address for applications: “Looking for a polite, affable person, with a original sensitivity and aesthetics, with a strong desire to open new doors in the creative world”. Among the main characteristics sought, Primus underlined:

“Technical skills are important, but what really matters is having groove, pocket and the ability to listen, respond and enrich the musical conversation.”
