Perry Farrell Punches Dave Navarro on Stage
Last night, September 13, Jane’s Addiction performed a concert at the Leader Bank Pavilion in Boston, but the show never ended. In the middle of the set, singer Perry Farrell punched guitarist Dave Navarro in the face and the altercation ended the set.
According to setlist.fm and JamBase on social media, problems between the two band members began during the ninth song, “Mountain Song,” continued through “Three Days,” and came to a head at the end of “Ocean Size.”
As reported, the singer went berserk for unknown reasons and, after pushing and hitting his bandmate, was restrained and escorted off stage by several members of the crew. After Farrell was taken away, the American band returned to the stage to thank the fans present, while drummer Stephen Perkins hugged Navarro, checking that he was okay. At this time, no statement has been released by the band or management.
The classic Jane’s Addiction lineup reunited on stage a few months ago, and played together for the first time in over 14 years last May in London. After the date across the Channel, the only Italian date took place on June 14th at La Prima Estate, in Lido di Camaiore.
