The frontman of the Jane’s Addiction Perry Farrell released a statement saying he owes his bandmates an apology following his actions last week.
The band has announced the cancellation of the remaining dates of the tour (read here) after Farrell first pushed and then punched the guitarist Dave Navarro during Friday night’s show in Boston, ending their performance early (Read here and here for the hot statements of Farrell’s wife).
After the band released a standard public statement announcing the cancellation of the remaining tour dates and guitarist Dave Navarro released a separate statement going into more detail about the band’s concerns about Farrell’s behavior and mental health, the Jane’s Addiction singer offered his own statement on his Instagram Stories.
In the post, Farrell takes responsibility for his actions and explains that he owes his bandmates an apology.
This is what the singer posted:
This weekend has been incredibly difficult and after having had the time and space to reflect, it is only right that I apologize to my bandmates, especially Dave Navarro, fans, family and friends for my actions during Friday’s show. Unfortunately, my breaking point led to inexcusable behavior and I take full responsibility for how I chose to handle the situation.”
