Paul Weller arriving the new Cover album ‘Find El Dorado’
Paul Wellersoloist and former frontman of Jam and of Style Councilwill publish on July 25th ‘Find El Dorado‘A collection of 15 covers.
The disc is described as “a map of his emotional and musical DNA” that sees Weller “revisit songs that have lived for a long time at the bottom of his mind, now reimquired with a new meaning and a sense of reverence”.
‘Find El Dorado’ has already been anticipated by ‘Lawdy Rolla‘(Originally recorded by the dark French band The Guerrillas) And ‘Pinball‘(Brian Protheroe).
The project also contains reinterpretations of classics of Kinks (“Nobody’s Fool”), De Bee Gees (“I Started a Joke”) and of Bobby Charles (“Small Town Talk”).
“These are songs that I have been carrying for years,” explained the “Godfather of Mod” Paul Weller. “They have taken on new forms over time. And now it seemed to me the right time to share them.”

These are songs that have shaped his inner world and now, through a mix of intimate arrangements and prominent collaborations with artists of the caliber of Hannah Peel, Declan O’Rourke, Robert Plant, Seckou Keita, Amelia Coburn and Noel Gallagher, he is transmitting them. This is the most reflective Weller, which offers listeners a rare gaze on the music that made it such and recalls that great songs never age, they simply evolve.
‘Find El Dorado’ marks Weller’s return to Parlophone Records, with whom he released his successful series of three albums from 2015 to 2018.

Paul Weller’s new album, the 18th in a solo career, follows “66“, published exactly a year ago, on May 24, 2024, the day before his 66th birthday.
The singer -songwriter also recently signed the letter of Heavenly Recordings to support the right to “freedom of expression” of Kneecapfollowing the recent controversies that involved the Irish trio regarding their positions on the situation of Gaza and Palestinians.
Last March Weller was also seen with Noel Gallagher among the public on the occasion of the Mini live of sex pistols with Frank Carter in London.
