Paul McCartney responds to a fan's message after 60 years
It is precisely the case that hope is the last to die. The protagonist of this story is the 81 year old Paul McCartney who after something like over 60 years responded to the declaration of love launched by a fan of Beatles named Adrienne.
In 1963, Adrienne was interviewed by CBS prior to the Liverpool quartet's first ever visit to the United States, where she declared with overwhelming enthusiasm: “I love the Beatles and I will always love them! Even when I'm 105 and an old grandmother, I will love them. Paul McCartney, if you're listening, Adrienne from Brooklyn loves you with all her heart!”
McCartney took his time and has now responded to Adrienne's appeal by posting a video message on his Instagram account. “Hey Adrienne, it's Paul. Listen, I saw your video, I'm in Brooklyn, I'm in New York, I'm finally here. We have an exhibit, a photography exhibit. Come see it.” The post is accompanied by a caption that reads: “Adrienne from Brooklyn, Paul McCartney from Liverpool loves you too.”
The exhibition in question is
“Paul McCartney Photographs 1963-64: Eyes of the Storm”
which will be hosted at the Brooklyn Museum until August 18th.
