Paul McCartney performs “Wonderful Christmastime” live after 6 years
Paul McCartney played “Wonderful Christmastime” in concert. The former Beatle welcomed the festive season on stage at Manchester’s Co-op Live by dusting off his 1979 Christmas single.
Sir Paul hadn’t performed “Wonderful Christmastime” live since 2018, a song rarely performed live by McCartney. The Christmas single was played on both the first and second Manchester dates, with Macca and his band accompanied by a group of kids from the You Should Be Dancing Theater Academy. The two evenings at Co-op Live in Manchester saw McCartney perform the same setlist, with the exception of the opening song. While for the date of December 14th the 82-year-old musician chose the Beatles classic “A hard day’s night”, for the concert on December 15th he opted for another Fab Four song playing “Can’t buy me love”.
