Patti Smith, the unpublished “Snowball” has come out
Legacy Recordings, announces the release, for October 10, of “Horses (50th Anniversary)” To celebrate the 50th anniversary of “Horses” (Read the review here) Of Patti Smith. The album, originally released in 1975, will be available in double CD and vinyl.
This edition will contain the original album remastered directly from the original 1/4 master ribbons, as well as unpublished songs, auditions and rarities, including the RCA audition ribbon of Patti Smith of 1975. “Horses (50th Anniversary)” will contain eight songs never published before, like “Snowball” And “Birdland (alternating take)”together with the RCA demo. The first single, “Snowball”is already available from all streaming platforms.

November 4th Patti Smith will publish the Memorie book, “Bread of Angels”in which he describes his childhood in the second post -war period in Philadelphia’s working class and South Jersey, his adolescence when the first glimmers of art and romance take hold, his ascent in the universe of punk rock until his retreat from public life when he meets love and puts his family on the banks of Lake Saint Clair, in Michigan. When Patti Smith It undergoes deep losses, returns to writing, the only constant of a life path guided by artistic freedom and the power of imagination.
The Statuitense musician will play in Italy on September 15 at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome and the 10 October at the Choruslife Arena in Bergamoin the Lombard town it will perform in full “Horses”.
