Paris, Travis Scott released after arrest

Travis Scott has been released by French police after being detained early yesterday morning, Friday, August 9: according to Variety, French authorities have no intention of filing charges against the rapper, who – therefore – should not face trial for what happened. The Paris prosecutor’s office itself has announced that it has not filed any charges against the Texan artist.

Sources close to Scott consulted by the American newspaper report tensions between the singer and his bodyguard, guilty – according to his employer – of not having sufficiently protected him from the assault of fans and onlookers present at the Olympic Games in the French capital. To escape the selfie hunters, the rapper would have turned to the police, who – however – would have reacted excessively to the requests of the American star by holding him for 24 hours at one of the city’s garrisons. In all phases of the arrest, however, no violent acts would have occurred.
