One Direction: Simon Cowell Dreams of an ABBA Voyage-Style Show

Simon Cowellcreator of the “X Factor” format and also creator of One Direction, recently revealed his only regret related to the boy band and he talked about the fact that if he could, he wouldn’t mind a hologram show by Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Liam Payne in the style of ABBA’s “Voyage” (here’s a behind-the-scenes look at the concert).

Guest on ITV’s This Morning, Cowell spoke about what a potential One Direction reunion would be like, stressing: “We would sell out in stadiums around the world. I don’t think that’s going to happen. I’m just saying in case they get back together“.

When asked by presenter Allison Hammond if he had any regret towards the bandSimon Cowell then revealed: “I wish I owned that name“. When asked what he would do if he had the chance to exploit the name “One Direction”, the former mentor of the group replied: “I would do a show like ABBA’syou know? I shouldn’t have to ask anyone for anything. But other than that, some of the best memories of my career were from that time. It was just exciting, it was special, and it was great to see the fans grow and grow. The fans really made the band work all over the world. And to be a part of that was exciting.”
