Offset wounded by gunfire: “He’s stable”

As reported by the “Guardian”, Offset was admitted to hospital after, yesterday evening, April 6th, he was shot outside a casino in Florida. The former Migos member, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, was shot and wounded in the service area outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. A spokesperson for Offset, expected in concert in Italy next Julystated in a statement released via “Variety”: “We can confirm that Offset was hit by gunfire and He is currently in hospitalwhere he is receiving medical treatment. He is stable and is under close observation”.

Following the incident, as reported by the Seminole Police Department, two people were stopped and authorities are investigating the incident. Via the Associated Press, the department also stated: “We are aware of an incident that occurred in the valet area after 7pm Monday outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood, resulting in non-life-threatening injuries to one person, who was subsequently transported to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood. Seminole Police responded to the scene immediately and the situation was quickly contained. Two individuals were stopped by the police. The investigations are ongoing. The area is safe and there is no threat to the public. Activities continue regularly.”

The incident against Offset reaches just over three years after Takeoff was killedmember of Migos, shot to death outside a bowling alley in Houston. The rapper, whose real name was Kirsnick Khari Ball, died at age 28 on November 1, 2022, after being killed during an alleged dice game gone wrong in Houston, Texas. Patrick Clark was subsequently indicted for her murder, and the trial is expected to begin in November, the Houston Chronicle reported.

Offset is expected in concert in Italy next summer. The rapper was in fact announced among the artists on the bill 4 July 2026 at the Hellwatt Festival at the RCF Arena in Reggio Emilia. The event also announced the performance of Travis Scott for July 17th and of Kanye West for July 18th.
