Oasis: no tour in 2026
Oasis won’t be touring in 2026. It’s not official, but almost. This was declared by Liam Gallagher, letting it be known on We will talk about it again, perhaps, in 2027.
Replying to a fan who asked him to hurry up and announce the 2026 dates, Liam wrote: “We won’t be doing a tour in 2026, sorry”, later specifying that “we won’t be doing anything at all until 2027”.
Thus ends one of the catchphrases of these weeks, or rather, of these months. Yes, because ever since the complete calendar of “Oasis Live ’25” was announced, thousands of fans who were unable to purchase tickets for this year’s dates have been eagerly awaiting the announcement of new shows. Announcement that, apparently, there won’t be. In 2026 the Gallagher brothers will each return to dedicating themselves to their own solo careers. Behind the decision to skip a tour there would be Noel Gallagher’s desire to take back the album he was working on before the reunion of the “Wonderwall” band took place in the summer of 2024.
Noel had started working on the album after having thrown away an acoustic album: “I need to make a provocative rock album and that’s what I’ll do”, he said in the spring of 2024. Then the rapprochement with his brother led to the agreements for the Oasis reunion tour. “You’ll see me next year and the year after and so on, but I’m not sure yet whether it will be with Oasis. We need to sit down and talk about it. If it were just up to me, you know we would be on tour until the day we die, because it’s the greatest thing in the world. But unfortunately it’s not like that,” Liam Gallagher told fans last month.
