Oasis, Metallica and others re-read by actor Jason Momoa live
Flying from the United States to this side of the Atlantic to celebrate the launch of his new line of premium spirits, Meili Vodka, the actor Jason Momoa surprised Manchester with asurprise live performancesharing his love for rock once again and transforming his weekend in the city into a small treasure hunt for fans and the curious.
The star of “Aquaman” and “Game Of Thrones” has in fact been spotted in different corners of the city. After closely following the Manchester United victory against Fulham in Old Trafford, and an informal tour of some well-known addresses on the city scene, from the celebrated Fenix restaurant to Tattu, up to The Blues Kitchen on Quay Street, Jason Momoa made himself protagonist of a surprise and improvised performance at the Louis club in Hardman Square, where the actor went on stage with his band, ÖOF TATATÁfor a cover performance.
As witnessed by videos emerged online and according to what was reported by the NME, Jason Momoa was joined by bandmates Mike Hayes and Kenny Dale, and wearing a Manchester United shirt and the bass around his neck he performed songs by big names in rock, including Metallica, Jimi Hendrix and Red Hot Chili Peppers. Obviously there was no shortage of surprise cover by a symbolic Manchester band, presented as the “song of the city”: “Fuckin’ in the bushes” by Oasis.
Comments from fans were unleashed online, including some who joked about the fact that Momoa performed the song by the Gallagher brothers’ band while wearing a Manchester United shirt, the rival team of Manchester City, supported for years by Liam and Noel. “Don’t show this video to Liam and Noel”, someone commented on “Reddit”.
It’s no secret that Jason Momoa is a Big fan of rock and metalso much so that over the years the actor has often shared his love for bands like Black Sabbath and Guns N’ Roses, as well as being spotted at countless concerts. Right at the final event of the “Paranoid” band and Ozzy Osbourne, “Back to the beginning”, Momoa was called into the role of presenter.
