Oasis, Liam Gallagher in the studio in London: what we know
A video that immortalizes Liam Gallagher as he leaves the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London shot by a fan outside the gates of the historic recording studios: a lot – a little – was enough to ignite the enthusiasm of Oasis fans, who, not satisfied with the reunion (and awaiting the announcement of the 2027 tour), now hope to also listen to new music from the band. The clip is from yesterday, Tuesday 5 May. But what was Liam Gallagher doing at Abbey Road? The response from Liam Gallagher himself is as follows, on X: “I’m a singer, I sing songs: that’s what I was doing”. Isn’t that enough for you? Then try to satisfy yourself with one more detail: together with Liam Gallagher there were also John Squire and Andy Bell. With John Squire, guitarist of the Stone Roses, two years ago the youngest of the Gallagher brothers recorded the joint album “Liam Gallagher John Squire”. Andy Bell, on the other hand, is – as you know – the bassist of Oasis. And here another question arises: was Liam Gallagher recording a second volume of the project with John Squire together with the two or does Andy Bell’s presence have to do with new Oasis material?
The images of Liam Gallagher at Abbey Road arrive a few days after the statements made by his brother Noel in a radio interview with talkSport in the United Kingdom, in which he revealed that he was “toying with new ideas”. Not confirming whether these new ideas are for Oasis or his High Flying Birds, Noel replied: “I’m just writing songs.”
