Oasis and Phil Collins: those admitted to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame

The artists admitted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for the class of 2026 have been announced. Among those who will now join the “Olympus of rock”, in the main category dedicated to performers, there are Phil Collins, Billy Idol, Iron Maiden, Joy Division/New Order, Oasis, Sade, Luther Vandross, Wu-Tang Clan.

This year, the shortlist also included the presence of many other artists. Among these, the following were therefore not admitted into the Hall of Fame: Lauryn Hill, Mariah Carey, P!NK, Black Crowes, Jeff Buckley, Melissa Etheridge, INXS, New Edition, Shakira.

Furthermore, this year, Linda Creed, Arif Mardin, Jimmy Miller, Rick Rubin were awarded the Musical Excellence Award, while Celia Cruz, Fela Kuti, Queen Latifah, MC Lyte, Gram Parsons were selected to receive the Early Influence recognition. The winner of the Ahmet Ertegun Award is Ed Sullivan.

The 41st induction ceremony will be held on November 14 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
