Noel Gallagher makes a surprise performance with the Black Keys

Noel Gallagher dedicates “Don’t look back in anger” to the National Team

“Don’t look back in anger”: Noel Gallagher dedicated Oasis’ hit to the England national team after their second consecutive defeat in a European Football Championship final.

Already beaten in 2021 by Italy, this year the English coached by Gareth Southgate – who announced his resignation – were defeated by Spain. And Noel, British to the core, a few days after the defeat that brought Southgate’s cycle to an end, thought it a good idea to sing “Don’t look back in anger” in concert, dedicating it to Bellingham and his teammates. Last night the singer-songwriter was in concert at Cardiff Castle and announcing “Don’t look back in anger” he said: “We’re singing this for the English national team”.

A few days ago, the youngest of the Gallagher brothers, Liam, had also expressed his discontent for the defeat: “I’m destroyed by football – the singer had written on X – I wish all our teams to compete well in England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales. Let’s all be kind to each other, relaxed”.
