Noel asks fans what songs they want at the live shows, Liam replies
At the moment it is not known what relationship Noel and Liam Gallagher are in, almost fifteen years after their argument backstage at Rock en Seine in Paris on 28 August 2009, which put the “end” to the story of Oasis. However, they are in the public domain, and known for their high level of irony, their back and forth from one interview to another and their interactions on social media. The most recent one therefore did not fail to immediately spark irony on the internet.
While waiting to undertake a series of summer concerts in the United Kingdom with his High Flying Birds, with whom he released the album “Council skies” last year (here is our review), Noel Gallagher shared on X (formerly Twitter) a post to ask fans: “What songs do you hope will be added to the setlist?”.
The question was unexpectedly answered by Liam, who under his older brother’s message wrote an ironic: “Barbie girl”, referring to Aqua’s 1997 hit and a funny interview given by the former main composer of Oasis to the BBC last year.
The ironic reaction of the former voice of the “Wonderwall” band, currently engaged in the tour for the 30th anniversary of the historic band’s album “Definitely Maybe”, comes shortly after his response regarding the veracity or otherwise of the place reserved for brother Noel at his concerts.
